Obituary of Franklin Raso

RASO, Franklin A., Sr. age 75, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Frank was born and raised in Emerson, he was a resident of Upper Saddle River for the past 47 years. He served his country as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army. Frank was part owner of Ralph Marangi & Co. in Carlstadt. Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years, Maria (nee Marangi), his children, Deborah and her husband David Bleasby of Mahwah, Franklin A.,Jr. and his wife Robin of Cleburne, TX, and Cheryl and her husband Darin Agnes of Upper Saddle River. Frank also leaves his adored grandchildren Nicole and Brendan, his sister Amelia and her husband Donald DeWeese of Dingmans Ferry, PA and three nieces. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 11:00 am at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River. Entombment will be in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Saturday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
