Obituary of Henrietta Lont

LONT, Henrietta (nee de Korte) age 106 of North Haledon formerly of Hawthorne died peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Holland Christian Home. Henrietta was born in Paterson on June 15, 1903, she was a long time resident of Hawthorne before moving to the Holland Christian Home 20 years ago. Henrietta was the secretary for the family business; Richard Lont Plumbing and Heating in Hawthorne. She was a member of the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. Surviving are her devoted daughter-in-law Joan Lont of Warwick, NY and several nieces and nephews including, Martha Hamersma and Edith Baskind. Henrietta also leaves five great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Richard Lont, Sr., her son Richard Lont, Jr., and her grandchildren, Richard Lont, III and Linda Congelton. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Avenue, North Haledon, NJ 07508. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Holland Christian Home or the Benevolent Fund of the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 530 Sicomac Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
