Obituary of A. Scott Hamilton

Hamilton, A. Scott, age 80 died Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Born in Cleveland, Ohio he lived in Stratford, CT before coming to Wyckoff in 1960. He was a Korean War veteran who served in the Army Engineers. He was employed as a Sales Engineer for the Bendix Corp. of Teterboro for 30 years. A. Scott was a member of West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood where he served as a former Trustee and Sunday School Teacher. He also was active in the Men's Fellowship group and the Theatre group of the Church called the Hillside Players. Surviving is his wife Carol (nee Northrop) Hamilton of Wyckoff, his children, Allen Scott and his wife Gaya of San Antonio, TX, Marianne Gutierrez and her husband Eric of New Bern, NC, and James Arthur and his wife Debra of West Milford, NJ. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and his sister, Mary Anderson and her husband Jon of Statesville, NC. Private Cremation was held. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11 am at West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 South Monroe St. Ridgewood, NJ.
