Obituary of Margaret Slingland

SLINGLAND, Margaret Frances age 89 of Wyckoff, formerly of Hawthorne died peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2007 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Wayne. Margaret was born in Paterson to Edward and Frances (Olthuis) Slingland on June 7, 1918. She worked many years for the Hills Bakery in Paterson, and was a life long member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff, formerly of Paterson. Surviving are her cousins, Carolyn Truitt of Wilmington, DE; Nancy Fields of Ridgewood; and George Slingland of Hawthorne. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, and her cousin John Olthuis. The Slingland family will receive friends on Thursday 10:30 to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am from the Olthuis Funeral Home, 159 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park. Interment will be in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
