Dear Bill Duane Family, Please accept the belated message as I have only recently heard of Bill’s passing. I have been thinking about him this year. During the 80s I worked with Bill Duane as the Manager of Standards for the IIA. I was the Staff Liaison to the Professional Standards and Professional Practices Committee. I watched Bill’s journey from committee member to committee chairman, to the executive committee and Chairman of the Board. I felt very close to Bill and felt honored to have worked so closely with him during that time. I have so many fond memories of Bill and I learned a lot from just watching him work and make decisions. My heart was touched seeing his beautiful memorial picture. I envision him smiling back at me and letting me know he is fine and in a beautiful place. I am sure he is continuing to do good work for the Lord. Many blessings to the Bill Duane family! Please know his memories will live on through you and all those he has touched. His memory is only a thought away and he is in the light of God, forever. Our prayers do reach him and he is grateful and completely in God’s hands. My sincere condolence to your entire family, With all our love Richard Allan White rich@richardawhite.com

Dear Duane Family, I had the great pleasure of working with Bill during my tenure at The IIA, particularly while in Conferences and Professional Practices. His support of the conference programs from development through on-site participation was so positive for the entire team! I recall many mentoring discussions with Bill, who was never too busy to share from his experiences and provide encouragement! I have and will continue to be grateful for having known him... God bless you all during this most difficult time, Roe

Heartbroken is the East Coast Coyle clan. I think we did Uncle Bill proud in the style we sent him off. The night before the funeral was the stereotypical Irish funeral in our hotel. Family, together, celebrating his life and ours. I will always treasure our trip down memory lane in the South Bronx in his childhood stomping ground and the protection I was able to provide when he talked to the local hoods on the changes in the neighborhood, (I stood behind him and motioned to the "individuals" that it would be a bad idea to do anything but engage in polite conversation with my Uncle.) I will miss him greatly and the warmth, generousity, and style that he brought into our lives. XO dear Uncle and Godfather until we meet again.

Dearest Maureen and family~ I am so deeply sorry to hear of Will's passing. It is devastating. I feel so lucky to have met him and shared in his life. It was a gift. I wish I could be there to give you as big a hug as I received from Will the very first time I met him. I'll never forget it. I'll always remember him as a joyful man with hope and happiness in his heart. To me it seemed no matter what the challenge he only proceeded with a positive attitude. Even though I knew him for such a short time I feel priviledged to have been able to witness the intense love he had for his family. Maureen, I cannot even think of him without imagining you by his side. My heart goes out to you and I wish you peace and love. Your friend, Amy

Dear Maureen, I have always known him as "Mr. Duane" during the years I worked at "Manny Hanny." I was working there during the good times when Tom Johnson, Madelyn, Kenny Hyle, etc. were there. I remember all the good times we had, whether at work or celebrating someone's promotion or retirement. I am very sorry to hear about his passing and will say a prayer for the repose of his soul. He was a compassionate man. My best wishes to you and your family. May God bless you all.

On a personal level, I will always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that bear hug embrace he always had for me. On a professional level, I had a high level of respect for a man who managed to wear a number of different hats and juggle many high level responsibilities. My deepest sympathy goes out to Bill's family and friends.
