Obituary of Manuel Pires

Pires, Manuel J, age 75, of Franklin Lakes, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007. He was a resident of Franklin Lakes for over 40 years. He also lived on Long Beach Island and in North Palm Beach, Florida. He is survived by his wife Carmela (nee DiGiaimo) Pires, his son's Joseph and wife Janice of Palm Harbor, FL, Ronald of Wyckoff, NJ and Gary of North Palm Beach FL, his grandchildren, Gina-Marie and Ryan Pires of Palm Harbor FL and his brother, Antonio and wife Iris Pires of Hawthorne as well as many nieces and nephew's. Born in Paterson, he was self employed and C.E.O of his business Rony Inc., Wyckoff, NJ, a global exporter of automotive and truck parts. Prior to establishing Rony Inc., he was an export manager for Kem Manufacturing in Fairlawn, NJ, as well as an accredited musician and music teacher. Throughout his life, Manny was an avid fisherman spending as much time as possible either fishing or talking fishing with family and friends. His love of the sea was always shared with family and innumerable friends on countless days at sea aboard his 31' Bertram, Four Aces II. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Prayers Monday 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Rd., Franklin Lakes, NJ.
