Obituary of Dorothy Squeo

SQUEO, Dorothy, age 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at her home in Wyckoff. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Carlstadt and Ridgewood before moving to Wyckoff two years ago. Dorothy was a registered nurse with St. Mary's Hospital of Passaic for twenty years. She was a former parishioner of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood. She was also a member of the Ridgewood Community Bridge Club and Ridgewood YMCA. Dorothy is survived by her devoted children, Adrienne Pace of Wood Ridge and Eugene M. Squeo of Wyckoff. She also leaves three precious grandchildren: Luke, Lucien, and Christian, her sister Dolores De Giovine of Carlstadt and her brother Vincent Marella of Mahwah. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Armand in 2000 and her sister Lucy Schott in 1984. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:45 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will be in St. Luke's Cemetery, Ho Ho Kus. Friends may visit the family on Friday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
