Obituary of Wilhelmina Dyksen

DYKSEN, Wilhelmina (nee Zuidema) "Wilma" age 78 of North Haledon, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Wilma was born in Paterson and was a resident of North Haledon for most of her life. She had been a resident at the Christian Health Care Center for the past 3 years. Wilma was a homemaker and was a member of the Priscilla Society at the Fourth Christian Reformed Church in Paterson where she was a member for many years. Wilma taught a sewing class at the Eastern Christian Junior High School. She was a member of the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. Survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Elroy J. and her children, John E. and his wife Faye of North Haledon, Glenn A. and his wife Nancy of Middlebury, IN, Wayne R. and his wife Marcia of E. Lansing, MI, Robert F. and his wife Esther of Hawthorne and her son-in-law Robert C. Unrath of North Haledon. Wilma also leaves her adoring 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grand children, her sister Lois Prins and her brothers Norman, Samuel, Jr, and Roger. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Lois Beth Unrath in 1997 and her brother William Zuidema in 1988.Friends and family may visit Sunday, March 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A private grave-side service will be held Monday, March 30, at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa followed by a memorial service to celebrate her life at 11 am at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff.
