Obituary of Marina Alzapiedi

ALZAPIEDI, Marina age 90 of Waldwick, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Born in Berchetto, Italy she came to the United States in 1955 settling with her family in New York City. She lived there until moving to Waldwick 5 years ago. Marina worked in building maintenance in Manhattan for more than 28 years before her retirement in 1987. Surviving are her devoted sons, George Alzapiedi and his wife Norma of Waldwick and Peter Alzapiedi and his wife Sally of Astoria, NY. Marina also leaves her loving grandsons Peter Wade and Nicholas George. She was pre-deceased by her husband Zelindo Alzapiedi in 1991. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral mass will follow 11:00 am at St. Luke's R.C.Church, 340 Franklin Tpk., HoHokus, NJ. Interment will be held at a later date in her home town in Italy. Visiting is Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
