Obituary of Theodore Vandervliet

VANDERVLIET, Theodore H. "Ted" age 79 of Pocono Pines, PA formerly of Midland Park died Thursday, February 5, 2009. Born in Paterson, Ted lived in Midland Park for 40 years before moving to Pocono Pines in 2003. Ted retired in 2003 as Executive Director of the Northwest Bergen Utility Authority in Waldwick. He is a former councilman in Midland Park and was chairman of the Bergen County Planning Board. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Jean (nee Dehrenbach), his devoted children, Scott Vandervliet and his wife Susan of Wyckoff and Nancy and her husband Tom Plummer of Califon, NJ, and his grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen, Brittany, Benjamin and Katie. The Vandervliet family will receive friends on Monday 10:00 until 11:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, followed by the interment at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
