To Johnny's family: I am very sorry to learn that Johnny has passed away. I met him around 1968 when he dated a friend of mine from River Edge. I have fond memories of being at your family's house in Oradell. For a long time, we lost track of each other until one day I saw him walking down Kinderkamack Rd. - I could not miss his broad shoulders. That day and several times later, I gave him a ride home. He told me of his heart transplant and he looked so well. Another time, I called AAA for assistance and he answered the phone and I recognized his voice and said "Hey Johnny, I need help"! He laughed and said he knew it was me because no one called him Johnny anymore! I always had a warm spot in my heart for him and forever will remember his wonderful smile and his warm personality.
