Obituary of Frances Wedlake
WEDLAKE, Frances (nee Chapman), age 91, a former 53-year resident of Midland Park, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2009 at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law in Spokane, WA, where she recently resided.
Frances is predeceased by her beloved husband William Henry Wedlake and her loving son PFC Brian Francis Wedlake. She is survived by her loving daughter Bonnie Wedlake of Ramsey, her loving son Bill Wedlake and his wife Renae of Spokane, WA, her dear grandchildren Riley and Kallie, and her devoted brother James Chapman of Wyckoff.
Before retiring, Frances was a teacher in the Midland Park school system. She was a long-time parishioner at The Church of the Nativity, Midland Park where she was a member of the Rosary Society and a volunteer.
She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Valley Hospital and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit 130 where she was a Gold Star Mother.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place on Friday, 4-8 PM at Olthuis Funeral Home, (olthuisfuneralhome.com) 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 10 AM at The Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
