Obituary of William Coppa

COPPA, William A., Jr., age 75, died on Monday, December 29, 2008, at home. Born in Paterson, he lived there until moving into Waldwick 47 years ago. Bill served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict in 1956. He was a Operating Engineer for Local 825 in Springfield, NJ. He was also a parishoner at St. Luke's RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus where he was an usher at 7:30am Mass. Bill is survived by his loving wife Marian; his daughters, Donna Lee Cordes and her husband Daniel of Hillsdale and Michelle Magrino and her husband Charles of Cresskill; and his 5 grandchildren Dillon, Briana Mae, Tyler, CJ, and William. He is also survived by his brothers Micheal La Corte and his wife Elenor of Clifton and Charles La Corte and his wife Janet of Melbourne Beach, FL and his sister Josephine Swan of Matamoras, PA and many loved and cherished friends. Visiting hours are Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ www.vpfh.com. Funeral Mass is Saturday 10:00 am at St. Luke's RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpk, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423. Interment will follow at the St. Luke's Cemetery.
