Obituary of Lillian Weierstall

WEIERSTALL, Lillian E. (nee Weixler) age 84 of Paramus, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Oradell Care Center. Lillian was born in Weehawkin, NJ on August 7, 1924. She was a resident of Paramus for many years before moving to Midland Park. Lillian worked for more than 16 years at the Paramus Public Library before her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary and the Christ Lutheran Church in Paramus. Surviving are her devoted children, John G. Weierstall and his wife Linda of Hamburg, NJ and Carol J. and her husband Dan Weaver of Midland Park. Lillian also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Gretchen, Heidi, Andrew, Kevin and Patrick, her great grandchildren, Cecilia, Matthew, Tristan and Madeline and her sister Jean Black of Cape Cod, MA. Lillian was pre-deceased by her husband Gunther J. Weierstall in 2006. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Visiting is Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
