Obituary of Leanore Jonkman

JONKMAN, Leanore (nee Kole), age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Born in Hawthorne, she lived for 46 years in Wyckoff before moving to Midland Park and North Haledon four years ago. Leanore was a bookkeeper with Prospect Park National Bank for five years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was also a receptionist for Cedar Hill OB/GYN in Wyckoff. She was a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church of Wyckoff. She did volunteer work with the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC). She enjoyed camping, cooking, sewing, and baking. Leanore is survived by her four children: Karen R. Breur and husband John R. of North Haledon, Eileen J. Dyer and husband Robert A. of North Haledon, Brenda L. Nienhouse and husband John H. of North Haledon and Roy Alan Jonkman and wife Cheryl L. of Clifton. Survived also by thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her sister Jeannette Stoel of Ridgewood. Leanore was predeceased by her beloved husband Leonard in 2003, her granddaughter Laura Lee Nienhouse in 1989 and her sisters Anna May Prins in 2003 and Fogeline Veenema in 2007. Friends may visit the family on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Olthuis Funeral Home, (www.olthuisfuneralhome.com) 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 10:00 AM at Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Ave., Wyckoff. Interment, Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
