Obituary of Julia Horwath

HORWATH, Julia R. (nee Suliss), age 96, died peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Born in Bellville, she was a long-time resident of Waldwick before moving this past year to Longview Assisted Living in Wyckoff. Julia was an executive with Kresge, Newark before becoming a homemaker. Julia's love for children was so great that many referred to her as "Aunt Jule." Jule was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 1981 and her two brothers; Stan Suliss and Henry Suliss. Beloved aunt of Pam and husband Arthur Reed of Booth Bay ME and Jan and husband David Christie of Elmhurst, IL., she is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, many friends, and dear friend of the family of Bonnie and Tom Degenaars. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2:00-4:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 4:00 PM. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. The funeral procession will depart on Monday, 9:15 AM from the funeral home to go to the cemetery for a 10:00 AM service of committal.
