Obituary of Albert Bokma

BOKMA, Albert, age 95, died on Sunday, November 16, 2007. Born in Hawthorne, he lived in Fair Lawn and Elmwood Park before moving to North Bergen in 2000. Albert was the owner of A. Bokma Plumbing and Heating of Fair Lawn for 50 years until retiring in 1985. He was an avid member of Hawthorne Gospel Church where he served for approximately 40 years as an usher. Albert is survived by his four children; Albert, Faye, Susan, and Richard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his sister Ruby and his sister Albertha. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Cornelia (Botbyl) in 1989. Albert will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Friday, 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com) located at 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. Funeral services will take place on Friday, 10:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
