Obituary of Wilton Hoffman

Hoffman, Wilton C. age 82 of Pompton Lakes entered in the presence of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Born in Midland Park he lived there before moving to Pompton Lakes 23 years ago. Wilton worked as a Plumber for Local 14, Lodi, NJ and was a member for over 50 years. He served his country during WW II in the Navy and achieved the rank of Petty Officer and he was a member of American Legion Post 369, Oakland, NJ. He loved attending Hawthorne Gospel Church. Surviving is his wife Lenora (nee Knorr) Hoffman of Pompton Lakes, his daughter, Robin and her husband Don Stevens of Antioch, CA, his son Douglas and his wife Christin Hoffman of Byron, FL, his step-daughter, Judy and her husband Curtis Welch of Black Mountain, NC, Thomas and his wife Ruth Vanderbeck of Oakland, Craig and his wife Ellen Vanderbeck of PA, Debra and her husband Glenn Hooyman of Wyckoff. Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and his brother Carl and his wife Arlene Hoffman of Georgia. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service Monday 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment Redeemer Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
