Obituary of John L. Decker

Decker, John L. Sr. age 88 of North Bergen died Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Born in Bronx, NY John lived in Brooklyn for 50 years before moving to Beverly Hills, FL and most recently to North Bergen. An Army veteran who served during WW II and a former parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church, Brooklyn, John was a former president of the Lions Club, Beverly Hills, FL. Survivors include his sons, John L. Decker Jr. of New York, NY, Stephen Decker of Wyckoff and Brian Decker of Wellesley, MA: his sister, Alice Decker of Wilmington, DE, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. John was predeceased by his wife Cornelia K. (nee Waters) Decker in 1985. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
