November 6, 2008 To the Cantor & Murphy families and Lori's friend's sit here in utter shock upon learning of Lori's passing today. One of my bad habits is letting days, even weeks, go by before checking my emails. Please forgive me, especially the Cantor family, for not attending the services. I truly regret not being there. Sadly, I can not recall the last time I saw Lori. Ten years ago? It's quite possibly even longer. I can vividly recall the years spent with her thirty years ago. I was practically living in her house, by the grace and goodness of her family, in Scotch Plains. Scotty, Mike and myself were seemingly always together and naturally Lori would hang with us sometimes. I'm not sure when it happened but I realized this was not Mike's little sister when we were in high school. Lori seemed older, wiser and far more together then me. It was easy to tell her our thoughts and feelings about our love lives (or lack of!), what we wanted to do with ourselves or just the worlds problems in general. She was also so much fun to hang with, just one of the guys. During that period she was like my little sister too. Perfect example was the time I started dating my now wife and we went to the house for a party. After meeting Roxanne she came up to me later and told me how much she liked Rox and how happy she was for me. Lori did not say this because it was the right thing to do, she truly meant it. She kissed me on the cheek and said "me and my mom were so worried about you. You seemed aimless but maybe this happiness will give you some direction in your life." It was real, sweet and honest. That's how I remember Lori. Truly one of the nicest people I ever knew. I have no magic words to ease the sorrow of those of you who knew her best, her families and friends. But I do have a wish and hope for you all. I'm not a very religious man but tonight I will say a prayer and cc every god and the religion that they stand for. My hope is that someday Lori's memory will bring you comfort and peace. The sadness will always be there but let there be tears of joy too, and smiles, and laughs when you think of her, tell your stories and look at your pictures. My wish is that this can happen, as soon as humanly possible, for all of you. Peace and Love......coop

To Lori's family, We hope that when you remember Lori, you will remember the fun and laughs you had with her. That's what she would want. We worked with Lori years ago at Bennigan's and can only remember how she loved life and loved having fun. May God be with you in this difficult time. Mike and Renee Liskowitz

To the Cantor/Murphy families: I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Lori. Although I have not seen her in several years, I received the occasional update from Michael, and fondly remember those days in Central Jersey years ago. I remember Lori as a happy person who always was surrounded by many friends. I knew Lori as a sister of great friends of mine, and as a daughter of wonderful parents, and I am confident she brought much joy to the Murphy family as well. My sincere condolences to you all. Larry
