Obituary of Erwin Borchers

BORCHERS, Erwin age 91 of Midland Park, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Erwin was born in Hoboken on February 17, 1917. He was a resident of Midland Park since 1950. Erwin served his country in the United States Navy during World War II in the Submarine Service. He was a 1956 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, School of Banking and retired as Vice President of Bankers Trust Company International Department in New York City in 1980. Mr. Borchers was a parishioner of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glen Rock. Surviving are his devoted children, Barbara A. Streemke of Paramus, Janet E. Ottens, Carol J. Berninger and Robert J. Borchers all of Midland Park. He also leaves 13 adoring grandchildren and 5 loving great grandchildren. Erwin was pre-deceased by his wife Genevieve (nee Crawford) in 1992.
