Obituary of Agnes Egan

EGAN, Agnes Mary (nee Haftek) age 93 of Wyckoff, died peacefully on Friday, October 03, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. Agnes Mary was born in Paterson on February 12, 1915, she was a resident of Wyckoff for the past 55 years. Mrs. Egan was Office Manager for Standard Advertising in Totowa for 20 years before her retirement in 1985. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Nativity in Midland Park and a member of the Red Hat Society. Surviving is her devoted daughter Maureen E. and her husband Roger G. Ackerman of Corning, NY. Mrs. Egan also leaves four grandchildren, eight great grand children and her brother John Haftek of Fair Lawn. Agnes Mary was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph R. Egan in 1992. A funeral mass will be held Thursday 10:30 AM at the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ 07432. Interment will follow in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nativity.
