Obituary of Rita Guthrie

GUTHRIE, Rita, age 76, of Parsippany, died on August 11, 2008 at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, NJ. Born in Manhattan, Rita was raised in the Bronx and lived there until she was married and moved to Clifton. She then moved to Paterson and Parsippany before moving to the Christian Health Care Center almost a year ago. Rita worked at Little Sisters of the Poor in Totowa as a nurse's assistant and was a cashier at the St. Joseph's Hospital of Wayne. Rita is survived by her daughters Susan Yip and her husband David of Lake Hiawatha and Barbara Williamson of Parsippany, and by her 4 grandchildren Maureen Miller, Christopher A. Williamson, Colleen Williamson, and David Arthur Yip, and 2 great grandchildren Brendan Williamson Miller and Danielle Miller. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Bergling of Florida and her sister Christine Rubiero of New York and many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her husband Arthur Guthrie in 1987.
