Obituary of Edith L. Nagelhout

NAGELHOUT, Edith L. (nee Berkhofer), age 59, died on Sunday, July 20, 2008. Edith was born in Passaic, on September 11, 1948. She was a resident of Fair Lawn for 26 years before moving to Mahwah nine years ago. Edith worked as a secretary with the law office of Charles Kahwaty of Ridgewood for nineteen years. She also often demonstrated a tremendous love and compassion for animals. Edith is survived by her two dear sons; David A. Nagelhout and his wife Donna of Mahwah and Mark H. Nagelhout and his wife Kimberly of Park Ridge. She is also survived by her adored grandson Brendan Nagelhout, her sister Francine Rau of Menomonee Falls, WI., her sister-in-law Betty Nagelhout of Midland Park, several nieces and nephews and other loved relatives. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Harry, Jr. in April, 2007. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff (www.vpfh.com). Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
