Obituary of Otto De Vries

DE VRIES, Otto, age 71, died peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2008. Born in Midland Park, he lived in Riverdale for the past seven years. Otto was a maintenance man with Columbia Savings and Loan in Fair Lawn for ten years. After retiring in 1993 he resided in Clearbrook, VA with his dear wife Joyce (nee Streelman) until her passing in 2000. He attended the First Baptist Church of Hawthorne. He loved the outdoors, working in his yard, and taking care of his cats Smootsie and Boogie. Otto is survived by his two loving daughters Linda Jeron and her husband Tom of Pompton Lakes and Barbara De Vries of Riverdale. He is also survived by his three dear grandchildren; Lucas, Krystina and Caroline Jeron and his two brothers Justus "Bud" De Vries of Midland Park and Peter De Vries of Grand Rapids, MI. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Olthuis Funeral Home, 159 Godwin Ave. Midland Park, NJ 07432. Funeral Service Monday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
